Candle Care - Safety

Causes skin irritation. Cause serious eye irritation. If on SKIN: wash with plenty of soap and water. If EYES: rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice/attention. If eye irritation continues, seek medical advice/attention. May produce an allergic reaction. Harmful to aquatic life with long last effects. Avoid release to the environment. Dispose of contents/container to approved sites, in accordance with local regulations.
Safety advice for the use of Candles:
- Never leave a burning Candle unattended
- Always burn candle out of reach of children and pets
- Always leave at least 10cm between burning candles
- Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire
- Do not place candles in a draught
- Do not place candles near a source of heat
- Place candles in an upright position
- Trim the wick to about 5mm (1/4 inch) before lighting
- Beware the container could get very HOT
- Do not burn when there is less than 1-2cm of wax remaining.
- NEVER burn a Candle to the bottom, as this is unsafe as the candle glass or jar becomes extremely hot, as it will cause it to break or shatter which increases the risk of a fire or injury.
- Always snuff out the candle. Do not blow it out.
- Always use a candle holder or a heatproof stand because the container will get HOT
- Keep the wax pool clear and, clear of any other debris to avoid flaring
- Do not move a burning candle.
- Never use a liquid to extinguish a candle
- Always use candles responsibly and carefully
